Special Events

From gift wrapping our silent auction items to completing mailings and event day staff, we have a variety of tasks appropriate for all group sizes, skill levels, physical abilities and interests. Our annual event is our Life Without Limits Gala in the Spring. Organize a supply drive with your group or local business or host events like an Island Carnival, Fun in the Sun, family picnics, or a Trunk or Treat! We are excited about customizing group events that benefit our families and fit within a community partner’s values, work culture and reflect their passions.

Therapy Center

Our pediatric therapy center trains academic student interns and preprofessional occupational, speech, and physical therapy students. Our play-based pediatric therapy center staff rely on individual volunteers to help support during client sessions by sanitizing toys, organizing equipment, and preparing special projects for our group sessions. All hours spent in the therapy center are considered observation hours. Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Administration

Can you type, file, stuff envelopes make phone calls, or prepare spreadsheets? If so, we need your help! By offering your clerical, technical, or operational support, you can help us accomplish vital tasks necessary to keep programs and operations running smoothly. Training may be provided.

Board of Directors

UCP-OC’s Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who volunteer their time to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. The Board ensures UCP-OC’s mission is fulfilled by the programs and services we offer, governing the organization and securing the resources necessary to advance UCP-OC’s vision for a life without limits for children with disabilities. The board seeks to include representation from the Orange County community, including but not limited to: business leaders, healthcare executives, philanthropists, and family advocates.
