CHOOSE trained caregivers in safe and enriched environments, providing parents with valuable independent time.

UCP-OC's Respite Connection brings trained, adult caregivers together with the parents of special needs children. With their caregiver, children are able to pursue activities outside the home in addition to having a safer and more enriched experience when their parent is away. The respite care staff is trained to be responsive to the consumer and the needs of the family. The philosophy of the program is based on the principles of inclusion, normalization, and self-reliance. UCP-OC believes that Respite Connection can provide support to the family unit, and enhance your child’s growth and development.
