Coming Together to Support
Our Community's Most Vulnerable Families

Orange County is suffering from a dramatic shortage in child care providers, with only enough child care available to cover 15 percent of children. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has further ravaged the child care landscape, eliminating 46,000 childcare slots through January 2021 all the while unemployment benefits are causing a shortage in staff.

We urgently need your support in helping UCP-OC repair a tremendous service gap within our community. The pandemic-related labor shortage has led to an extreme loss of child care hours within our organization, and across the Orange County community. Your gift will allow UCP-OC to provide a sign-on bonus to attract, hire, and train qualified caregivers to support the families waiting for our help.

Your generous donation will go directly to UCP-OC’s “Emergency Child Care Fund,” and will allow us to immediately begin providing support to the special needs families in dire need of respite child care.
